MARCOS ACOSTA

(b. Cordoba, Argentina, 1980) 
Marcos Acosta, an Argentine artist who began his artistic career at a very early age and after working non-stop for more than 30 years, is undoubtedly one of the strongest artists of his time and one of the young Latin American artists of greatest international stature. 

He completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the National University of Córdoba between 1998 and 2003, and studied with the Argentine master Carlos Peiteado, with whom he perfected his drawing, painting and composition.

Marcos’ career has developed mainly in Argentina and Latin America. Since its beginnings, Marcos has maintained an intense place in the Latin American art scene, with more than 35 individual exhibitions in important Museums, Institutions and art galleries in Argentina, Brazil, the United States, among others. 
He has participated in more than 120 group exhibitions and was also part of International Art Fairs such as Art Miami, Art Chicago, Arte BA (Buenos Aires, Argentina), Mercado de Arte (Córdoba, Argentina), Art Context (Miami), SWAB Art Fair (Barcelona, ​​Spain) and Antwerp (Antwerp, Belgium). 

His work is found in private collections in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Costa Rica, the United States, Spain, France, England, Luxembourg, Saudi Arabia and Singapore. It is also part of public collections in Museums and Public Institutions such as the Palais de Glace National Palace of Arts (Buenos Aires), Emilio Caraffa Provincial Museum of Fine Arts (Córdoba), Chateau Carreras Contemporary Art Center (Córdoba), Museum of Fine Arts Arts of Salta (Salta, Argentina), Museu do Ingá (Níteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), Casa Badesc Foundation (Florianópolis, Brazil), Municipal Museum of Arts “Dr. Urbano Poggi” (Rafaela, Argentina), Museo Arq, Francisco Tamburini (Córdoba), Universidad Privada Siglo XXI (Córdoba) and more. 

The artist has two studios in the province of Córdoba, Argentina; one of them in the city and another in the mountain area. Without a doubt, spaces that allowed him to develop a large part of his career in more than the last two decades and to produce countless works that are found around the world today.

Currently the artist is living and working in the United States, having his new studio in Denver, Colorado, where he arrived to continue his career in the northern hemisphere.
